Once a year, a stretch of Cape Coral Parkway closes to cars and fills with easels, pottery wheels, food tents, and a few hundred thousand footsteps. The Cape Coral Art Festival, presented by the Cape Coral Rotary Foundation, hit its 41st year on January 10-11, 2026 — and it remains one of the biggest single weekends on the city's calendar. The weekend, by the numbers
The festival ran Saturday, January 10 from 10am to 5pm and Sunday, January 11 from 10am to 4pm along Cape Coral Parkway. Up to 240 artists applied to show, and the accepted lineup — painters, photographers, sculptors, jewelers, ceramicists, and more — spread across the Parkway's Premier Artist Area and general show sections. Attendance has run well past 100,000 in recent years, and 2026 kept pace, making it Lee County's largest single special event by a wide margin.
More than the art
Alongside the juried artist rows, the festival ran its usual mix of community programming: a Business Showcase for local companies, ArtWay on the Parkway for student and youth artwork, food vendors, and live music and entertainment through both days. It's built to be a family event as much as a fine-art show — strollers and folding chairs are as common as sketchbooks.
